The sections of the tutorial that received an update were section 6 and section 7. The former goes over registering the light frames and integrating them. The latter goes over implementing the Drizzle algorithm. Both of these sections now feature LocalNormalization throughout and have therefore both been extensively updated. You can access the tutorial from this direct link or you can go directly to section 6 from this link.
Following PixInsight version 1.8.5's release, I am proceeding to update some tutorials. The first update has gone to my lengthy tutorial on pre-processing images in PixInsight. The update has added the new LocalNormalization process and feature into the pre-processing of images. The new LocalNormalization feature is meant to produce cleaner-looking images with stronger SNR above background, a background with less noise and smoother transitions between features. Obviously how much benefit one gets from using this new feature depends on one's dataset, but the tutorial now goes over the procedure as part of the image integration (stacking) process.
