My PixInsight tutorial update continues including features introduced in version 1.8.5. This time, I have updated my tutorial on colour-calibrating images to include the new process PhotometricColorCalibration, which works by plate solving your image and determining a true white reference for it.
The tutorial has actually been updated to work with different example data as the previous example data was not doing a good job of demonstrating the effects of colour-calibration, in my opinion. As colour-calibration still benefits from using BackgroundNeutralization at the beginning and SCNR at the end, I introduced PhotometricColorCalibration in-between, after ColorCalibration as a new section. It is highlighted as an alternative to ColorCalibration. You can access the tutorial via this direct link.
