My current image is one of the NGC2146 Dusty Hand Galaxy that I discovered below Polaris while looking through Stellarium. It looked like a nice enough target so I went ahead and started imaging it. Tracking so near the pole is a little more difficult it seems, but it is working out pretty well so far. The image will be a single panel as the galaxy fits there alongside a nice, neighbouring galaxy.
Finally, thanks to Álvaro Ibáñez Pérez of AIP Astrophotography & Timelapse, I was inspired to finally update the header for Light Vortex Astronomy to something more vibrant. This new header displays parts of 11 of my favourite images captured so far. Overall I am very pleased with how it turned out.
