From the timestamp of the previous blog post, it is evident that I have not been attending to the website as much as of late. With all the work I have had the past several months, it is no surprise to find that I have not been updating it much. All I have done since then is finish off three images and updated the Astrophotographs page with them. The following are the three images:
Above, for the image of the IC410 Tadpole Nebula, I initially wanted to make it a Hubble Palette image with captured Sulphur-II data as well. Timing of visibility of the object and the amount of hours required however, made it impossible so I fell back on a Bicolour Palette image. The latter two images of M51 Whirlpool Galaxy and M81 and M82 Bode's Nebula are essentially re-captures at the higher focal length I have been working with. The former turned out a little blurrier than I would have liked, possibly due to seeing conditions but I also think my primary mirror was dewing up on several nights.
I am actually out of it at the moment. My wife and I bought an expensive house recently so I am taking a financial break from astrophotography for about a year. My intention is to come back and occupy a pier at e-EyE once again. I will consider my imaging equipment at the time. I am therefore not capturing new images for the time being but intend on looking over my PixInsight tutorials to check for any updates that may be worth-while making. I am dividing my time between that and Unity Engine - another hobby of mine.
