Over a year since I finished capturing all my data on the M31 Andromeda Galaxy, I have decided to re-process everything to make a new image. I initially really liked the result I got, but over time I have come to shy away from it because frankly, it was over-processed and had far too much Hydrogen-Alpha enhancement. This gave the image too much of a magenta tone to it. After many hours pre-processing all my data again and then trying out different colour calibrations, I have come to an end result I am very happy with. This end result is a lot more natural-looking, with nicer blue and orange tones. The Hydrogen-Alpha enhancements are still visible but no longer completely take over the image. I am very pleased with this end result for its detail, contrast and overall saturation.

Very good image of M31, Kayron. The star colours look natural, excellent exposure and clean noise free image. I know you take pictures with CCD cameras, but is there something extra in your set up - how do you handle light pollution during long exposures? Are you in a dark sky location?
