Finally, after about two months of on and off imaging due to the Moon and some rain, imaging work on these targets is complete. I was originally going to make this a single panel image of just the NGC4565 Needle Galaxy but ended up making it a standard two-panel mosaic that also included the nearby NGC4559 galaxy.
The image comprises a total of 410 exposures, each 10 minutes long, giving a total exposure time to this image of 68 hours, 20 minutes. It was meant to be 400 exposures but I accidentally captured 10 extra Green exposures on the first panel (left), and why waste good data!? It was not overly difficult to process this data to my satisfaction and I was able to do it in a single attempt, as usual in PixInsight.
