The first tutorial in a long line of tutorials to come has now been published. This is a post-processing example tutorial, which goes through the entire PixInsight workflow from a pre-processed image all the way to the end result. Though the tutorial is self-contained, the reader would find it useful to read more into the various procedures within the tutorial (to this end, there are a number of other tutorials linked in the introduction). This first tutorial is based on an image of the M31 Andromeda Galaxy captured on a DSLR, contributed by a friend, Gordon Barrett. The image starts at this point, in a linear state: Following the workflow, this is the end result: Since this is essentially a DSLR workflow, it replaces the old, very popular tutorial in the Archived area of the Tutorials page. You are wonderful-- after downloading the free trial version and using your processes here I bought the program as soon as I had the money Than You so Much!
